The Word of The Week

Apologies for not doing a word last week, I promise this is a good one!
Ephemeral describes something as occurring or being, in a fleeting moment, lasting for a very short amount of time.
It's such a soft word that for some reason makes me think of fog, mystery and even a bit of magic. I suppose it sounds very similar to ethereal which gives it those magical connotations.
As I didn't do a word last week, let this one be a double whammy: ethereal describes something as extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world.
Both words are so light and airy, like they aren't really there at all, which really adds to the meaning behind each one, making them both, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful words in the English language.
