Apologies if my handwriting is illegible, it says 'froth'!

When I think of froth, I think of the bubbles that you see when the waves crash onto the sand. While researching froth, I found the word 'spume' which means froth or foam, particularly on waves.

I took this photo a few months ago at West Wittering beach and it describes perfectly what I mean...

I also love that you get froth on coffees or hot chocolates (or whatever hot beverage your heart requires). For me, it's the best part.

It's quite an onomatopoeic word, sounding like the calming hiss of the bubbles.

- suds

- foam
